Below you will find information on how to obtain a criminal record check for various purposes. Please read all information carefully before you begin any process.
If you wish to obtain a Criminal Conviction report on yourself or anyone else then click on the "Vermont Conviction Report (VCCRIS)" link at the right. You will need to provide a Name and Date of Birth and there is a $30.00 charge per conviction report. The benefit is an immediate result to your computer that you can print or save.
Click on the link for "Vermont Record Checks" at the right If you are requesting a record check that will require a notary seal for one of the following:

Processing of record check requests received via US mail take from 5 – 7 business days for processing. By coming into our office you can obtain your notarized record check in approximately 10 minutes. Walk in's who require a complete criminal history record will need two forms of positive identification.
All incomplete forms will be returned unprocessed.
If you are a vulnerable population agency or believe that you may qualify as a vulnerable population agency in the State of Vermont click on the "Vermont Conviction Report (VCCRIS)" link at the right and fill out the appropriate application.
If you are an educational institution in the State of Vermont click on the "National Record Checks" link at the right (these checks will require fingerprints).
If you are trying to locate a Fingerprint Identification Center near you click on the Fingerprint Identification Center Information link at the right.
